Coast Starlight-

從California,經過Oregon,再到Washington State。

Be Careful of the Bear--Advanced

為什麼會出現進階版呢?
因為老哥看到我的文章後,一直技癢,
決定幫我“小小”的修改一下。
The most memorable moment of my life was in Hokkaido.  Ten years ago, my sister and I went to Hokkaido for two weeks as backpackers.  One day, we visited the famous Daisetsuzan National Park featuring by snow-covered crater lakes.  There were only two ways to get to the crater lakes: cable car or hiking.  As two poor backpackers, we chose hiking.  In this way, we would have more time enjoying the gorgeous landscapes.  In the very beginning, both of us were energized.  We could walk for 30 minutes at a breath.  However, two hours later, the breath shortened to 10 minutes.  At last, we both were too tired to move any step.  So we sat down on the trail and started to sing.  Suddenly, something went wrong.  A strange sound interrupted our singing.  It was like a growl.  Both of us stared at each other silently.  After a blanked moment, my sister whispered, "Do you know nearly 50% of tourists were hit by bears in Hokkaido?"  When she finished those words, something was moving slowly in the lower stairs where we had just passed.  Because of the heavy fog, we could not tell what the blurred figure was.  Again, four eyes stared at each other.  This time, we were not silent at all but shouted "BEAR!!!"  All of a sudden, energy was filled again.  We turned immediately and ran as fast as we could.  Less than ten minutes, we were in the summit.  It was a 30-40 minutes trip if we walked.  Therefore, we took the cable car in the returning to avoid any possible danger.  We would never know if the blurred figure was a bear.  But this is definitely an unforgettable journey.
看完後我真是無比汗顏啊~
我跟老哥的等級真是差太多了....
所以送給老哥正港的“熊出沒”標誌。
我只能用小熊......

Be Careful of the Bear

The most memorable event in my life was happened when I was traveling in Hokkaido. Ten years ago, my sister and I became backpackers to Hokkaido for two weeks. One day, we went to Daisetsuzan National Park. It is famous for its crater lakes and the river covered by snow. There are two ways to get to the crater lakes, one is taking cable car, and the other, of course, is hiking. We wanted to save money and enjoy the amazing nature, so we decided to hike. At first, we rested every thirty minutes. Two hours later, we stopped every ten minutes. Finally, we were too tired to walk. We sat on the stairs and started to sing. Suddenly, we heard a strange sound as we sang. It sounded like growling. We became silent immediately, and looked at each other. My sister said in whisper, “ Did you know that nearly 50% of tourists are attacked by bears every year in Hokkaido?” It seemed that something was moving down the stairs where we just passed. Because of the heavy fog, we could not see clearly. We looked at each other again and yelled,“Bear!!” together. Then, we turned around and ran as fast as we could. We spent ten minutes getting to the top. But if we walk, it will take us thirty to forty minutes. Therefore when we returned, we took the cable car back. We did not know for sure if it was a bear, but this was definitely an unforgettable experience.
